Parent's List

The following individuals have all agreed to be a resource for VBF. Some are parents or relatives of someone born with a vascular birthmark and others are adults who have or had a vascular birthmark. These individuals have agreed to be representative of VBF in that they have made themselves available either by phone, in person, or by writing to discuss your mutual experiences in dealing with a vascular birthmark. None of these individuals represents themselves as a medical expert nor do we propose that they are a medical expert.

Madeleine has a lower lip and parotid haemangioma.

VBF has been a tremendous help to us, initially arranging a consultation at Great Ormond Street and then making the necessary arrangements to see Dr Waner in Berlin.

In addition to this, the other VBF volunteers have given us an enormous level of support in preparing us for our trip and helping us understand what to expect whilst we were in Germany, as well as sharing their experiences with us.

If there is anyone with either a similar haemangioma to Madeleine's or somebody who is thinking of seeing Dr Waner, we would be more than happy to share our experiences with you.
