Anne Weightman StoryAlthough my son has a very small H on his forehead I've still had to put up with strangers stopping me and making remarks about it. I've either been asked what is that, usually including a finger being pointed at his head, or people ask me what he has done. At first I was upset at how rude people could be. Then angry that all they saw was a mark on his head and not what a beautiful baby he was. I hate having to explain what it is. I then get comments like "well aren't you going to do anything about it". I then have to explain that it’s been looked at and it will go on its own given time. I just wish people weren't so ignorant and I do worry if its still there in his first years at school because this is adults making the comments what will other kids say as we all know kids can say the cruellest things. I just want other parents experiencing similar comments to know you are not alone and its other people that have the problem not you and your children. |
